We dined at Sofra over the long weekend. Friendly service and nice ambience. We started with the babaganoush with Turkish bread, the dip was creamy and light, and paired well with the warm bread. I enjoyed the Sultan's Delight, and my husband enjoyed the chicken shish. My meal had tender beef and a thick umami sauce, so delicious! The chicken shish were cooked beautifully, tender and lightly charred from the grill. For dessert, we shared the Turkish delight and baklava, with apple tea. A perfect sweet treat after our meals. Sofra is one of our favourite places to dine in Toowoomba, and we travel from Brisbane to enjoy their hospitality and food. Looking forward to our next visit :D.

We had the Ottoman Banquet - highly recommend. Food was amazing and generous servings! Our server was beautiful and friendly, and eveything was so prompt even though it was a packed house. The dancers just added to the atmosphere and fun.
Will be back!

We had a great time at Sofra, the atmosphere was amazing and I loved their deco. Their service was on-point. A special mention to CAN, he made our night. The food was great but I think next time we will skip the main meal and go straight to dessert. We saw the next table's dessert and really wished we were all sharing so I can taste them all. As we were a party of 2 and dinner left us with little room for dessert to order more than 2 servings. All in all we loved everything we ordered, Sofra is worth a visit if you are stopping in Toowoomba.

I had an amazing experience at Sofra! I went there for lunch with my family and I was super impressed with the quality and speed of the service provided by the staff. The food was absolutely amazing, you definitely get your money's worth. We had a number of share platters which was really good for catering to a large group. Overall, I had a lovely experience. I would highly recommend.

Was booked into another ethnic restaurant which turned out to be all wrong but so happy we were as we discovered this absolute ‘gem’. Everything about it was great from the time we came in the door - was obvious how good it was by the amount of clients on a Monday night. Not locals but would highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars from us.

The atmosphere, It was busy when we arrived, but got seated and served straight away. Music was lovely background, not too loud. Laughter from the tables around us. Service was amazing! First time at Sofra for dinner before a show at The Empire. Sofra is fully licensed and has an extensive menu including pide. The restaurant is decorated with Turkish textiles and lamps making the atmosphere inviting and cosy. It was a busy evening with most tables occupied by diners. Despite this, it was easy to chat and hear one another. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. He had the Sultans delight and I had the Chicken Shish Kebab. Both mains were generous and tasted absolutely delicious. We had a couple of drinks with dinner and were surprised to receive a complimentary selection of tiny deserts all of which were incredible. Sweet little handmade morsels. Thanks so much to the chef and all the staff especially the Maître de who was fabulous. If you want authentic Turkish food Sofra is a must visit when you are in Toowoomba. Highly recommended.

I have visited Sofra restaurant multiple times with friends and family, and each visit has been an exceptional experience. The cuisine is truly Mediterranean with a distinct Turkish flair, and every dish is incredibly flavorful and delicious. I especially love their rich, tender lamb dishes and the savory dips, they’re absolutely outstanding.
For dessert, I highly recommend the Nutella-based treats, as well as the traditional baklava and Turkish delights. They are all beautifully prepared and wonderfully sweet. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm, inviting, and lively, making it a perfect spot for both casual gatherings and special occasions. It’s very kid-friendly, which makes it a great place to dine with family.
The restaurant’s interior is vibrant and colorful, inspired by Turkish culture. The walls are adorned with beautiful decorations and artwork that reflect the rich heritage, creating an immersive environment. The materials used in the decor add a rustic yet elegant touch, combining traditional elements with modern comfort. Overall, the environment is cheerful and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable.
This place is definitely a hidden gem that captures the essence of Turkey’s warm hospitality and delicious cuisine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Mediterranean and Turkish food in Toowoomba

We could not fault the food or the atmosphere! We did wait a little too long between first and second course of the banquet for two but the staff were excellent and everything went well otherwise. We shared a special night at a very special restaurant.
The meat was tender, all dishes were beautiful, the beetroot dip and bread were lovely and the apple tea and desert was a highlight. Highly recommended!

Place was nice and eye-pleasing looking. Plenty space to sit and can accommodate more than 6-7 people at one table.
The food was good and delicious. We tried almost all dish that recommended by the staff. The service was fast but yet doest affect the quality of the food.
Staff was very friendly and patient as some of my friends cannot speak English that much. They slowly explain and suggested which dishes for us to try.
